CUARTEL DE DRAGONES O BLANDESGUES It was built between the years 1771 and 1797 by the Spanish Bartolomé Howel who directed the first steps of the construction. It occupies an entire block and has 2.500 m2 edified area. It was made with stones and brickworks. It was the most important colonial building and our national hero Jose Artigas, stayed there the 10th of March of 1797 when he was taking part of the Blandengues. Nowadays the building is an exhibitions place. Some years ago it was used as a wedding office.

esto no es una mierda es nuestro patrimonio historico es maravilloso saber q nuestro libertador estuvo ahi pero claro les gusta mas valorar los de afuera los extranjeros q nos estan robando la tierra y no valorar los q murieron por nuestra libertad .viva nuestra patria vivA el socialiosmo.
