If you are flying to Punta del Este, you can arrive either to the Carrasco International airport, close to Montevideo (134 km far from Punta del Este) or to Laguna del Sauce Airport, which is located in Punta del Este. The last one operates with the following airlines:

By Ship

If you like to sail, you can arrive to Punta del Este in your own yacht or using the different transportation services that operate in the city. The arrival cities are: Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo port if you are coming from Buenos Aires. Many of these companies include the bus ride to Punta del Este in the ticket rate. Other options are arriving to Uruguay in your own car (you can cross with your car on the ferry), rent a car or take the bus. There are some important holidays, like Christmas, New Year’s eve, summer itself, and Carnival, when the tickets are sold out, so that we strongly suggest you to make your ticket reservation in advance.
